Nails inspired by another Nail Artists

Hello ladies!

Wis here, I am really excited to do this post, as I consider it could be really helpful if you have any doubt on how to get this look I will be showing you.

These nails were inspired by Nailsbysophiaa (IG) and she was also inspired by Selinasnailart... this is kind of a Tribal design and it looks absolutely amazing! ever since I saw Nailsbysohpiaa's nails I knew I had to try it on my own nails... Here is how I got this look.

(Please note that this is the way I was able to do the design, probably they did a couple of steps different or used different tools, polishes. or whatever. This was my own way of copying their nail designs.

So, to get this look I used:

-Finger Paints: Paper Maché (white polish)
- Sinful Color: 24/7 (fuchsia polish)
- China Glaze: For Audrey (turquoise polish)
- OPI: Love.Angel.Music.Baby (gold polisj)
- Dry Fast Top Coat: Seche Vite (my favourite)
- Black Gel Pen
- Angled brush
- Pure acetone
- Thin brush
- Black polish with a stripper brush
- Sponge
- Hair glue to avoid getting polish all over the cuticle and fingers (bought at Sally)
- Cuticule Oil
- Lots of Patience! HA!

Wis aquí, estoy muy contenta de escribir este post, ya que considero que les puede ser de mucha utilidad si tienen alguna duda en cuanto a cómo obtener este look que les estaré mostrando.

Estas uñas fueron inspirada por Nailsbysophiaa (Instagram) y ella a su vez, se inspiró en el diseño de Selinasnailart (Instagram)... este es un diseño tipo Tribal y luce absolutamente hermoso! desde que lo vi, dije que tenía que hacerlo en mis propias uñas... aquí les muestro como logré hacerlas. 

(Es importante destacar que esta fue la manera que yo realicé para obtener este look, probablemente ellas usaron otros colores, otras técnicas, otros pasos, etc. Sin embargo, con este paso a paso logré copiar sus diseños)

Para este look usé: 

-Finger Paints: Paper Maché (pintura blanca)
- Sinful Color: 24/7 (pintura fucsia) 
- China Glaze: For Audrey (pintura color turquesa)
- OPI: Love.Angel.Music.Baby (pintura dorada)
- Dry Fast Top Coat: Seche Vite (mi favorito) 
- Lápiz de gel color negro
- brocha para limpiar la cutícula
- Acetona pura
- Pincel delgadito 
- Pintura negra de brochita fina
- Esponja 
- Pega de cabello para evitar manchar todas las cutículas y los dedos 
- Aceite para cutículas
-Mucha paciencia! JA!

Start with your clean, filed and fresh nails. Remember to use a Base Coat to protect your nails from staining

Comienza con tus uñas limpias, limadas y frescas. Recuerda usar una Base Protectora para proteger tus uñas de que se manchen

                              Apply your white base (then wait around 5 minutes until it dries)

                          Aplica tu base blanca (luego espera unos 5 minutos hasta que se seque)

                          Apply the hair glue carefully, so you don't get it over your white polish

                        Aplica la pega de cabello con cuidado para que no toque tu pintura blanca

 

Take you sponge and apply thefuchsia colour on top and the white polish as shown below. Gently dab the sponge as many times as you want, I did it twice

              Toma la esponja y aplica el color fucsia y el blanco como te muestra la foto. Con cuidado da    pequeños toques con la esponja a la uña, repite este paso tantas veces quieras, yo lo hice dos veces

                                               Do the same with your turquoise polish

                                                Haz lo mismo con tu pintura turquesa

Remove the hair glue around the cuticle and proceed to clean up where needed with your angled brush

Remueve la pega de cabello alrededor de la cutícula y procede a limpiar donde sea necesario con tu pincel 

 Take your black gel pen and draw the lines. I had the picture of their mani in front of me to help me get a more accurate design

Toma tu lápiz de gel y comienza a dibujar las líneas. Yo coloqué la foto del manicure de las chicas frente a mi para obtener un diseño parecido al de ellas

                                                    Draw the design for the ring finger

                                                    Dibuja el diseño en el dedo anular

                                                     Draw the design on the middle finger

                                                       Dibuja el diseño en el dedo medio

                                                            Proceed with the index

                                                 Continúa con el diseño del dedo índice 

             This is the final look, include the thumb (I forgot to take a picture of it separately, sorry)

      Este es el look final incluyendo el pulgar (olvidé tomar foto de el diseño por separado, lo siento) 

Add the final touches with your gold polish and your thin brush, apply top coat and your are ready to go!

Agrega los detalles en dorado con la brocha fina, aplica brillo sellador y estarás lista!!!

I'm back! - Estoy de vuelta!

Hello ladies,

This is just a quick note to let you know that I am planning to start my blog for real this time... it takes lots of time to do it, but I can't wait... so let's see how it goes! :D here I will show you one of my most recent manicures. these ones I love! circular gradient with different colours! looks amazing. Then I used my 18k gold top coat by OPI, from the Christmas Collection in collaboration with Gwen Stefani. Let me know how you like it!

Sirva esta corta notita para decirles que pienso tomar el tema de mi blog en serio! esta vez si va en serio. Toma mucho tiempo hacer esto, pero no puedo esperar de comenzar a hacerlo regularmente. En ésta oportunidad les muestro uno de mis manis más recientes, es un degradé circular con diferentes colores, luce increíble! Luego, para finalizar, usé mi brillo de 18K de la colección de Navidad de OPI en colaboración con Gwen Stefani. Cuéntenme qué les parece!

To get this look I use a white polish as my base colour (so the colours I put on top, pop). Then I took three different shades of each colour, took my regular sponge and applied the colours like if I was painting a circle and started dabbing the sponge onto my nails... you have to be careful and gentle!

Para obtener éste look usé una pintura blanca como base, para hacer resaltar los colores que estaría usando sobre ella. Luego tomé tres tonos distintos de cada color y los apliqué de manera circular en la esponja. Luego comencé a transferir la pintura de la esponja a mis uñas. eso si, con mucho cuidado y delicadeza!

Venezuelan Nails - Uñas Venezolanas

Hello ladies,

This next post means a lot to me. I did these nails to support my country Venezuela and its freedom. We are going through a hard time at the moment. But I know we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I used yellow, blue, red, white and black polish. I drew a dove representing the fact that we as Venezuelans, want peace. and I also wrote the word peace...

Classic Blak & White - Blanco y Negro clásico

Hello everyone, happy Sunday.

I have a few posts to show you today. These were my manis from this past week. I hope you enjoy them.

This mani is pretty simple yet cute!. I decided to go with polka dots using a white base and black dots. Also, I added black polish on my tips and white dots on top.

I got really nice compliments on Instagram about it. I kind of feel it looks like a piece of clothe designed by Carolina Herrera.

What do you think about it?.

Purple Mani - Manicure Morado

Here I am again, bringing you pictures of my most recent manis.

I will share one that I really liked, a color block mani using CG - Grape Pop (dark purple) and CG - You Drive Me Coconuts (pink). I used a black striper from Finger Paints for drawing the lines and of course, my all time favourite top coat *** Seche Vite***.

I did these to try to cheer me up... this crazy weather of - something Celsius is driving me coconuts too! I can´t wait for Spring to come... to leave my heavy coat, gloves, hat, scarf and snow boots at home and go out wearing a light blouse, flip flops and shorts!

Gold Dust Collection - Colección Gold Dust

Gold Dust Collection by L'ORÉAL

Hello folks,

New post right here. Today, I have 4 lovely polishes by L'ORÉAL from the Gold Dust Collection. I have to admit that I instantly fell in love with these polishes as soon as I saw them, so of course, I HAD to get them.

Please find a picture of them below :)

From left to right: Sexy in Sequins, Hidden Gems, The Statement Piece and Rough Around the Edges.

Now I will show you two pictures of each polish: a shot of the bottle and another one of my nails wearing the polish of course.

I will start with Sexy in Sequin.. This is an AWESOME colour. I really like how rich and sparkly this purple polish is. It has tons of golden micro glitter in it and small silver hexes. How fabulous is that?. Oh.. I almost forgot to mention that these are TEXTURED!.

Two coats, no top coat (doesn't seem to be textured at all, but it is)

Next one in line is Hidden Gems.. I totally like this name... I find this dark teal really lovely, since this is one of my favourite colours! It has small silver sequins in it and of course, fine teal glitter. I felt fancy while wearing it :)

 Two easy coats! I love the coverage.

Time for some real awesomeness... I mean, time for The Statement Piece to show off... What else can I say about this lovely crushed gold dust polish?. It has really fine gold glitter that looks like sand, and it also has small silver glitter in it. What's more elegant than gold polish?

 Two amazing easy coats again... *dead*

Last one, but certainly not least... Rough Around The Edges... There is nothing rough about this polish... even though it has a black base filled with extra fine silver glitter, it looks really delicate and feminine. Let me show you...

Did you notice all of these polishes have something in common? They all have silver glitter in it! :)


Final thoughts:

-If you are able to get your hands on these beauties, get them!... I am sure you will love them as much as I do.
-In terms of price, I think it's fine, since the quality of these polishes is amazing.
-Application is perfect, smooth and easy!

My very first post!

Hello folks,

Wis here :)  I have FINALLY decided to create a blog. I will try to share fun information about polishes, polishes and er yes, more polishes. I will also try to incorporate a few tutorials here (why not eh?) and pretty much everything related to... guess what? Yup! Nail polishes!.

I hope you enjoy my journey, as I have succumbed to this interesting and rewarding experience.
